Restaurants in Boston Spa
Before re-opening in 2011 the building was still a restaurant. In fact, it was still a Spice Box! A local legend, the original Spice Box was one of the most prominent restaurants in the Wetherby area during the 1980’s and 90‘s. Good food and a vibrant atmosphere kept the patrons coming and it was the scene of many great celebrations, romantic rendezvous and impromptu dinners.
While the interior and exterior of the restaurant has been rebuilt and revamped, we're driving at the same tone. Our dream is for The Spice Box to become a local hub for socialising, fine dining and celebrating. While our food is a little more modern with a french twist, we still carry a strong local, Yorkshire feel in every meal. Chemist
Before The Spice Box became a restaurant, the building was a chemist. Keen to uphold the roots of the building, the interior design of the restaurant uses original sets of drawers from the old chemist which can be seen mounted on the walls. If you take a closer look at the bar next time you visit you'll also see the medicine drawer design worked into it. These 'spice boxes' give the restaurant it's name.
